player of the week

Jennings Anderson Ford invites coaches, athletic directors and the public to nominate varsity football players at Boerne High School, Comfort High School, Bandera High School, Centerpoint High School, Tivy High School, Fredericksburg High School, or Blanco High School as The Built Ford Tough Player of the Week.

“We can get our kiddos the recognition they deserve,” said Scott Wilson, dealer principal. “Plus, our weekly winners can vie for the annual award, Texas High School Football Player of the Year. What a great way to recognize our communities, the school districts and the athletic staff—and most importantly the hard work of our students.”

Go online to www.jenningsandersonford.com to nominate. Nominations must be submitted by 11 a.m. CST on the Tuesday following the game to be considered for that week’s award.

Player of Week imageNominate Your Elite Student-Athletes

Students recognized by Ford and Scholastic Coach and Athletic Director Magazine as the Built Ford tough Player of the Week have excelled in three categories:

1. Individual performance on the field, including significant statistics from that week’s game
2. Contribution to the team’s success through individual leadership abilities
3. Performance off the field, including academic success and good community citizenship

The Built Ford Tough Player of the Week program honors student athletes in six of the athletic classifications every week during the regular season for the accomplishments on and off the field. The award was launched for the 2006 season to celebrate the strong ties between Texas and high school football, as well as Ford’s recognition as the “Truck Line of Texas” for an unprecedented eighth consecutive year.

Jennings Anderson Ford is a blue-oval certified, family-owned Ford dealership operating in Boerne, Texas since 1979.

Ten-year Jennings Anderson Ford veteran, Biff Coleman, returns to Jennings Anderson Ford as Used Car Sales Manager.

2008 King Ranch Expedition

The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing. It carries people, hauls gear, tows boats, and pulls campers. When it’s equipped with four-wheel drive, the Expedition will also get you there whether the road is dry, wet, snowy, or even when there’s hardly any road at all.

After redesigning the 2007 Expedition, Ford adds a new top-end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The King Ranch takes the top spot in the Expedition lineup, thanks to a number of high-end luxury features. To ensure drivers ride in comfort, the King Ranch comes with new low-backed, Chaparral leather-trimmed front captain’s chairs with two-way adjustable restraints and 10-way power adjustment for the driver’s seat. The seats are also heated and cooled with three comfort settings.

The King Ranch also comes equipped with a Convenience Package, which includes power-adjustable pedals with a memory setting, a universal garage door opener, and a reverse sensing system.

A 300-horsepower, 5.4-liter V8 engine ably drives the Expedition King Ranch. The engine links to a six-speed overdrive transmission. AdvanceTrac traction control with Roll Stability Control (RSC), a Safety Canopy system with side airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system are also part of the package.
